If you have a mini-USB cable you can just download Google Earth, plug the GPS navigator in with the cable, open google earth, select Tools, GPS, choose Garmin and import. After that all your favorite will be on ur map.

I would add to this that your nuvi needs to be in off-road mode if you’re trying to view the coords of a favorite that is not on a highway. Otherwise, when you click Go it will set your starting location on the nearest highway and route a straight line to your saved off-road location. In this scenario, you’ll end up getting the coords of your simulated location on the highway when you click your vehicle icon. However, putting it in off-road mode (Tools -> Settings -> Navigation -> Route Preferences -> Off Road) will put you right on top of your saved location allowing you to get the coordinates. Also note that doing this adds in an additional prompt informing you that you are arriving at your destination. This prompt kept being displayed before I had time to click No on the prompt asking me if I wanted to simulate the route.

Thanks a million for this information though!! I was about to be sorely disappointed that I was unable to retrieve the coords to some off-road spots I had saved.

Actually now I have tried it on my Nuvi 660 and it does not work when I press set location it does not show co-ordinates Help?

The present coordinates can also be viewed by pressing and holding on the signal strength indicator for 8-10 seconds.

The coordinates can also be viewed by computer in the Garmin directory: G:\Garmin\gpx\current.gpx . Open with notepad, or some other text editor, to find the coordinates.
