Win a copy of Halo: Reach for the Xbox

Remember the other day I told you about the Xbox Kinect that launched in South Africa. Well the guys from Xbox caught wind of the post, and very nicely, offered me a copy of the latest popular Xbox title, Halo Reach to be given away on my site.

Here is a little bit of info about the game:

In 2552, the Covenant discovered the planet Reach, humanity’s last line of defense. The UNSC mounted an unparalleled assault against the alien war machine, and at the heart of this conflict was Noble Team, an experienced group of accomplished soldiers prepared to meet the enemy head-on. Now, with the addition of the team’s newest member—Noble Six—this squad will face its most challenging mission yet: the defense of Reach…in what may well be the twilight of human existence.

Halo: Reach, easily the biggest and most ambitious Halo title yet, includes an intense, pulse-pounding Campaign, an addictive and frenetic Multiplayer, a riveting four-player Co-operative Firefight mode, the massive ForgeWorld experience, and a Theater mode to capture it all. With more modes, maps, missions, and features than ever before, Halo: Reach represents the complete Halo experience—a tour de force of stunning visuals, powerful story, epic encounters, and more replayability than any Halo title to date!

The guys over at IGN have given the game a 9.5 which is one of the highest scoring games ever !! The game also sold over 3 million units in it’s first month in the US.I also played the game for a couple of minutes (hours) at Tech-Ed where they had a couple of demo units on display.

To win a copy of Halo Reach here, all you need to do is leave a comment below, and I will randomly choose the winner…simple hey :) The competition closes on the 25th November at 12pm. Winner will be chosen using Random.org…

Ooooh… Free Stuffs…. Have to throw my name into the hat as well :)

Halo Reach is definitely the way forward and I have to complete the collection :D

Looks like Microsoft is making a good effort to reach the community with the Kinect and Live launches. Free games ftw. :)

Seeing im broke due to Christmas shopping early this year this would go down very well for some co-op with my GF :) Good luck to everyone

When Halo 3 came out, I replayed Halo 1 and Halo 2 (Yes, I had to hack Halo 2 to run on WinXP and DirectX 9.0c instead of DX10), just so I could refresh my memory on the ongoing story.
Halo 3 was fantastic, it is going to be a big task to try to top that with Halo: Reach. I’d love to find out if they managed to top it. :-D #win

Its nice to know that Microsoft and Xbox are finally taking the South African market more seriously,I think Companies like Apple should take note.

From what I have heard though is that the Xbox Market place for SA on the 360 has not really changed since launch, this is exacly what apple did with itunes and the app store for the iphone/ipad. Hopefully MS will not just let it die off, although I highly doubt they will.

Gaming in SA is getting bigger and whether it is on a console or PC I am happy,we have some great gamers here in SA and most of the online PC gamers will own internationals any day and I am sure its the same on the consoles.

SA Gaming is rocking ;)

I’m preparing my victory dance. Its sort of like the Macarena, but more intimidating.

Wow, what an awesome response to this competition. There were 56 entries. Thanks to everyone for entering ! Much appreciated. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner. Stay tuned for some more exciting comps coming sooon :)

Big congrats go to “Squirrely” who was the lucky number 39 who got picked by Random.org
