The iPhoneograhy showcase series I am currently doing, has been an amazing opportunity. I have received loads of response from local iPhoneographers, who have jumped at the opportunity to show off how awesome the iPhone, its camera & the Photography apps are. There is some serious talent out there, and I can’t wait to show it off this week, where I will be featuring a portfolio each day.
Today I am featuring popular photographer, Jeanette Verster, aka Jenty, who recently got herself an iPhone, and has joined in & seen the potential the phone has to offer as a camera, with great results.
How many camera apps do you have on your iPhone ?
Only 9… so far (hmmm, we have some work to do here….)
How did you get into iPhoneography ?
Before I got my iPhone, I was drooling over photos I’d seen others take with their phones, and then when my 365 photo project ended with my DSLR, I decided to expand my photo skills by using the iPhone. So now I’m doing an i365 for this year. I’m trying to take a photo with it every day, and I post it via Instagram to Tumblr which feeds the images to Twitter and Facebook for me.
I love the photo capability of the phone, it’s vastly superior to my previous phone, and it’s always on me, which means that I don’t have to lug around my DSLR, yet I have a serviceable camera that I can use to capture memories.
The network around Instagram got me hooked though, I love looking at how other people have used the iPhone’s camera across the world, and I follow a few people who explain what app they’ve used to get certain effects… which is really helpful too!
What’s your favorite subject to shoot iPhone ?
My iPhoneography is pretty random right now, it’s mostly general life photos of my family and what we do, mixed in with some landscapes.
Your top 5 favorite iPhone shots ?
