You may recall last year myself and the team from the Core Group, put together the hugely successful 1st ever South African iPhoneography exhibition up in Joburg. The event went off without a hitch, and we got some awesome feedback from everyone who entered as well as visited the exhibition.
So when the team from the Core Group called me to ask me if I would be keen in help putting the exhibition together again this year, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. So after a few meetings over the last couple of weeks we have got the ball rolling, and are very very exicited that 2nd South African iPhoneography exhibition will be happening in October !
The most exciting news is that this year, we have also included Cape Town as a exhibition venue, which, after going through last years feedback was a must to include. What this means is that Joburg entrants will see their artwork in Joburg & Cape town entrants will see theirs at the Cape Town exhibition.
We have confirmed the following dates & venues for this years events.
Johannesburg
iStore 1 Sandton Drive
Opening 11 October
Exhibition stays up for 2 weeks
Cape Town
V&A Waterfront – Exhibition Space in Mall
Opening 25 October
Exhibition stays till the 29th October
We are currentley working on the finer details and will soon start asking you to submit entries. We have gone through all the cons from last years exhibition, and have streamlined the process a bit more. One of the major changes for this year will be, we are looking at 1 dedicated printer to bring all the printing to the same quality & standard, as well as ensuring the pieces are delivered in time before we need to hang.
So, get those iPhones out, and start snapping away ! Remember, this exhibition is for EVERYONE. You don’t have to be a professional to enter :)
