  • Google Maps South Africa gets an update

It looks like the boys & girls at Google, have been busy updating the road names in South Africa. The map data on Google Maps has had a significant update, and you  can now also search on Google Maps for any road names in South Africa. There aren’t any driving directions just yet, but I’m pretty sure that should be implemented soon enough

  • Standard Bank Pro20 Final

Last night was probably the most unbelievable game of cricket I have ever seen in my life.

This years Pro20 has been awesome, and having been to 4 of the games to blog for Standard bank, last night took the cake.

The Dolphins managed to tie the game off the last ball against the Cape Cobras, which meant that the game went into a Power over playoff. Unbeknown to most of the crowd in Durban at the time, was that the game in PE, where the Warriors were taking on the Eagles, also went into a Power Over playoff.

It was amazing stuff, and both teams really fought it out to the end. At the end of the day the Cobras took the game in Durban, while the Eagles won in PE.

So that means on Saturday the Eagles will travel to Cape Town for the Standard Bank Pro 20 Final. It’s going to be KABOOM !!!!

  • Pro20 Semi Finals

Yesterday the Warriors & Dolphins secured their semi final berths against the Eagles & Cobras, in this years 2009 Standard Bank Pro20

The Dolphins beat the Lions by 8 waickets while the Warriors restricted the Eagles to the required 150 runs.

The format for the semi finals have changed this year, whereby the teams play a best of 3 games, to determine who will go through to the final.

The Dolphins will be taking on the Cobras in Cape Town on friday with the return leg in Durban on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles will host the Warriors in Bloem on Wednsday and the return game in PE will be on Sunday starting at 11.

It’s going to be an interesting couple of games, with the new format, as either team will have some sort of an advantage going into the 2nd game. Keep your eyes on the Pro20 blog, or for live updates from the games, follow @Pro20 on twitter
