  • Pro 20 Semi Finals

    Standard Bank Pro 20

It looks like the Dolphins have pulled up thier socks since the first game of the season against the eagles where they lost by 10 Wickerts

The Titans also came back nicely against the Lions yesterday in Centurion, after posting a low score of only 112 runs, and were able to eventually defend it.

So this weekend is Semi Final time in Durban & Cape Town with the Dolphins taking on the Eagles, on Friday night, and on Sunday the Cobras taking on the Titans, in what should be 2 very exciting games.

Keep your eyes on the Standard Bank Pro 20 Blog, for live updates at both the games.

  • Grow your Twitter Bubble

Came across this fantastic site today called Twubble, which allows you to grow your twitter bubble of friends.

What it does is looks at your twitter friends, and searches out who you may like to follow, based on how many of your friends follow them. Sounds confusing, much easier in reality

Check  it out at -> http://www.crazybob.org/twubble/

  • Durban scoops some SA Blog Awards

Things here in Durbs, are relativity quite when it comes to blogging, and social media. Which is kinda sad. I know of a few Durban bloggers, like Pfangirl, noodle, Ewan & edd, amongst others. Last year a local company called Immedia, climbed on board with East Coast Radio, which is Kwazulu Natal‘s regional radio station.

The station hosts some of South Africa’s top broadcasting personalities, like Darren Scott & Daryl Illbury. Last year at our first 27 Dinner in Durbs, Anice from Immedia came and spoke to us about how ECR decided to implement blogs into their website. Certain shows would be able to interact off air with listeners, in a forum where listeners could respond. The response was phenomenal. The listeners grasped the concept, and left comments, were able to listen to repeats of certain sections of the show.

Last night at the SA Blog awards, 3 of the blogs won 5 of the awards in 6 of their nominated categories.

Best SA Entertainment Blog – Big Breakfast Blog
Most Humorous South African Blog – Big Breakfast Blog
Best New Blog – Newswatch Blog
Best SA Podcast – Just Plain Darrens Blog
Best Group Blog – Big Breakfast Blog
Runner up in Best Sports Blog – Just Plain Darrens Blog

Well done to East Coast Radio & Immedia in helping Durbs shine on the map :)
