Vodacom Listens to the blogosphere
On Saturday I posted about my mate who was going through hell with Vodacom/FNB by being scammed by con artists, trying to do a Sim Swap on a fake letterhead.
This afternoon I received a call on my cellphone from Johan Van Graan, who is the Chief Risk Officer of the Vodacom Group. He had been alerted to the post, and wanted more info, so they could follow up on the case. I gave him my mates number, and they have since had a chat, and it is being passed onto the right people.
But what amazed me, is that Vodacom and Johan, took time out to read a blog post, and actually DO something about it. I’m glad to see some corporates are out there “listening”.
Kudos to Vodacom !!!

Pro 20 Semi Finals
It looks like the Dolphins have pulled up thier socks since the first game of the season against the eagles where they lost by 10 Wickerts
The Titans also came back nicely against the Lions yesterday in Centurion, after posting a low score of only 112 runs, and were able to eventually defend it.
So this weekend is Semi Final time in Durban & Cape Town with the Dolphins taking on the Eagles, on Friday night, and on Sunday the Cobras taking on the Titans, in what should be 2 very exciting games.
Keep your eyes on the Standard Bank Pro 20 Blog, for live updates at both the games.

QR codes arrive in South Africa
A while back I posted about QR codes and the basic technology behind them. I’m glad to see that the times and Sunday Times have started using this awesome technology, and so far it seems to be going well.
Nice one to Colin & the team :)
